  • Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) December 31, 2010 - The two days yearly International conference of Apeejay School of Management in association with Philadelphia University (USA) was held at the India International Center and Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka respectively on December 27 and 28, 2010. The conference was based on Management Practice & Research on Culture, Design and Business in the Emerging Market. Various Scholars from USA, Canada and Asian countries participated in the conference.

    The first day of conference began with inaugural speech of Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President, Apeejay Education Society and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University on importance on Management practice & research in today's emerging market. After that Prof. Raymond Poteau, Philadelphia University spoke on the changing behavior of brands in terms of design, culture and business for a particular market. The inaugural session was followed by a panel discussion on Management Education in India titled "Looking Ahead". Several eminent personalities like; Prof. D. K. Malhotra, Philadelphia University, Mr. M.M. Pant, former Pro -vice chancellor IGNOU, Mr. A.T. Raman, Consulting Editor, Business India, and Mr. Ashok Sohyal, V.P, Talent Acquisition, Global Logic shared their views in panel discussion.

    In her inaugural address, Mrs. Sushma Berlia said, "The concept of 'Emerging markets' is filled with hope for the future and linked to the aspirations of the developing countries to align themselves with the free markets for prosperity and holistic development of poor communities. Emerging markets have made State-led economies almost redundant today. I would like to thank the organizing panel for their remarkable efforts and also the participants of this conference."

    The second day of international conference was based on technical aspects of marketing, economics & finance and interdisciplinary.
