  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2011 - The Creation Adventure Family has launched a new Christian Radio Drama pilot program called Detective Rick Wraith: For the Love of Money. The two, twenty-seven minute episodes contain the action packed story of a detective and his family as they battle against a gang of counterfeiters during the tumultuous days of the Great Depression. Combining the quintessential gumshoe, the all American action hero and a Christian family perspective, these adventures combine the best elements of a classic detective story with a fresh perspective. From tracking down clues to, to a few laughs to a massive train crash Detective Rick Wraith: For the Love of Money is sure to keep listeners on the edge of their seat.

Made by veteran homeschoolers and featuring cast members from the globally syndicated Jonathan Park Audio Adventures this exciting story has a professional cast, scriptwriters and resounding musical score from a live orchestra.

"We wanted to combine the classic detective story that our grandparents grew up hearing, with the technology of today, to create an exciting adventure with a fresh perspective" says Duane Riffenburgh, the voice of Rick Wraith and main scriptwriter. He and his son Andrew made the program, while Duane's wife Nancy gave input on the entire production.

The Riffenburghs say that depending on the responses given by listeners, more episodes, even better than the first, are forthcoming. The next script is already in the pipeline and they say that there should be an exciting return for the detective and his family. "The biggest challenge" Andrew says, "is keeping up production while maintaining a normal life and paying the bills. Audio production, for a radio drama, is very time intensive and requires your full attention to do it right, but we are trusting God to direct our paths and see if this is something we should continue."

The program is set to air on radio stations nationally on President's Day weekend February 18th -19th, 2012, but affordable CD copies are available now on the Creation Adventure Family website http://www.creationadventurefamily.com .
