  • (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2010 - Herndon, Va. - The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) is giving its members the opportunity to create political change in the appraisal profession. ASA's Director of Government Relations, John D. Russell, is traveling to Northern New Jersey and Boston to meet with ASA members and appraisers to decide the upcoming political agenda for the future of the appraisal profession.

    "In this midterm election cycle, you are going to see politicians everywhere; promoting their agenda, meeting with constituents, shaking hands, kissing babies and getting a sense of what matters to Americans across the country. In the same vein, I am taking the opportunity to meet with ASA members to find out what matters to them. Whether it is pending legislation, regulations or other government activities that are affecting the day to day personal and professional lives of appraisers," said Russell.

    The town hall meetings begin on September 27, 2010 and are scheduled through October. The dates, times and locations of the upcoming confirmed meetings are listed below.
