ALS becomes a leading environmental service provider in Chile with the acquisition of Algoritmos
Global testing leader ALS has acquired Algoritmos, one of leader comprehensive provider of environmental monitoring and analysis services based in Santiago, Chile. This acquisition makes ALS a leading provider of environmental services in Chile and expands ALS’ overall presence in the region.
- (1888PressRelease) December 16, 2023 - ALS, a global testing leader, announced that it has acquired Algoritmos, an environmental services provider based in Latin America (LATAM) specializing in environmental monitoring and analysis. This expansion of its regional presence makes ALS a leading provider of environmental services in Chile.
Founded in 1997, Algoritmos is one of the leading environmental testing companies in the Chilean market, with operations based in Santiago and 4 more strategic locations within the country. Algoritmos provides an extensive range of testing services for a wide range of clients, including air quality, emissions, water and soil, noise, hygiene and more.
In addition to its service offering in Chile, Algoritmos has a strong regional presence in the Americas, having developed environmental monitoring, modelling and consulting projects in Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Panama and the United States.
The acquisition brings 350 new staff members with a wealth of experience to the ALS global environmental team, and the business is highly complementary to ALS’ operations in the region. ALS is now positioned to provide comprehensive environmental testing to fully meet Chile’s environmental regulatory requirements.
The combination of ALS’ global reach, leadership in environmental testing and innovative digital solutions together with Algoritmos’ robust service offering and regional expertise will help advance the overall operational effectiveness and impact of ALS’ business in the LATAM region.
