AGS Stone has been accredited by the Laminam company to fabricate and represent their line of porcelain slabs in the Tampa Bay area. Laminnam Porcelain is thinner, stronger and a great alternative to natural stone countertops and tile.
- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) November 15, 2018 - AGS Stone has become an accredited fabricator of Laminam Porcelain in the Tampa Bay area. This heat resistant, recyclable, man-made material is 30% stronger than Granite and can be installed over existing countertops.
“Porcelain is an amazing man-made material,” Gary Rogers President and CEO of AGS Stone, said, “Porcelain has been around since the 1400’s, but was never used to its full potential until now. These newer large slabs allow a variety of uses and it can be made to look like natural stone or a variety of colors.”
Porcelain comes in large slabs up to 5-feet x 10-feet, so they can be used on walls, shower enclosures, countertops (indoor & outdoor), backsplashes and more. It is lightweight, waterproof and highly durable. With slabs being 12mm thick, they can easily be fitted and installed over existing granite, quartz, marble or as a stand-alone, such as a table.
