Agreement Reached, Development Plans in Place for 933 University Avenue

  • Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) November 14, 2015 - Morgan Management, LLC is excited to announce that it can now move forward with the development of 933 University Avenue, the neighboring site to the George Eastman Museum. Construction for this much-anticipated housing development was held up in litigation for more than two years. Morgan Management now expects to break ground in the spring of 2016.

    This location is currently home to members of the 40&8, a national veterans association that promotes the wellbeing of veterans as well as their widows and orphans.

    Morgan Management worked closely with the veterans to ensure that the space continues to meet the needs of the organization. The agreement allows the 40&8 members lifetime usage of the new facility, free of charge.

    "They have done an exceptional job planning this development, and have always made our needs a top priority," said Rene Vanmulem of 40&8.

    While modern in design, the exterior of the building will be aesthetically in line with the surrounding cultural neighborhood.

    "We are eager to see the finished project," said Wayne Goodman of the Landmark Society. "We are sure its completion will add to the vibrancy of East and University avenues."

    In addition to finalizing the development plans with both the veterans and the landmark society, Morgan Management has conducted a traffic pattern study to ensure that there will be no issues with traffic congestion once the facility is complete.

    The facility will offer 99 luxury apartments available as one- and two-bedrooms as well as lofts. And there will be 132 covered parking spaces for residents.
