Just recently, our management discovered that half or more of our computers could be more eco-friendly. This prompted adoption of a new policy. We will acquire only computers that meet standards of manufacturing techniques, energy usage, and recyclability. This equipment generates long-term savings; savings that we naturally will allocate to improvements in service for our customers.
As an example, computer and peripheral manufacturers have choices as to how to make their products. Much of a computer's consumption of resources occurs during its lifetime. This means that if Custom-Writing.org chooses manufacturers committed to upgradability, and modularity, a substantial reduction in impact is possible.
Power usage also offers potential savings. Programs on the market allow customized voltage availability. Our writers could decide when to power down, or up, their equipment, even when away from the desk. This offers a great deal of flexibility in energy conservation.
These are but a few of the variables that we will be looking at in future computer, device, and software accessions. Any savings we realize become available for re-investment in our customers; staff, equipment, research resources.
