    About the Book:
Multi-millionaire Geoffery Foster, having been diagnosed with terminal cancer, is determined to enjoy his remaining days together with hospice nurse, Andy Spider. He embarks on a challenging quest to track down and improve the lot of his three godsons. But will childhood meningitis amputee Tim, the alcoholic 'drop out' James, and the abused husband Rupert, be too much for Geoffery's frail health? A drunken and intimate wedding reception encounter with a former girlfriend comes back to haunt Geoffery as he gambles with his life in the hands of a woman spurned.

Excerpt from "Godsons - Counting Sunsets":
"Godfrey felt himself wavering; he tightened his grip.
Where were his Godsons now? What had they made of their lives without his 'help and guidance?' They were probably alright. Perhaps he should find out. Yes, perhaps that's what he'd do, look them up.

He needed air. He was so hot. 'Must concentrate,' he chided himself, 'think of something. Surely it must be nearly over soon,' he reasoned.
Faraway the voice of the Vicar broke into his fevered mind. Lights danced in his failing vision as the Vicar lit a candle from the altar for Molly.
'God has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and has given us a place with the saints in light.

You have received the light of Christ; walk in this light all the days of your life'.
The poignancy of the last few words was not missed by Geoffery as he lost his battle to remain conscious and slumped noisily to the floor."

    About the Author:
Paul Gait has always loved writing. It was his childhood ambition to become a published author. Although his school teachers were sceptical about his command of the English language, suggesting he spent too many hours daydreaming on storylines rather than grammatical niceties.

Full-time work and family commitments delayed any serious attempts to finalise a bookshelf of drafts that he had written. Then in his 'silver age', he studied Creative Writing for Performance at Bristol University, subsequently getting two of his Radio plays, 'Together Forever' and 'Birdman', performed. His stage play 'Forget Me Not' won Best Original play runner-up award at the 2011 Gloucestershire Drama Association One Act Play Festival.
