  • (1888PressRelease) January 20, 2011 - MALVERN, NY - Cassi Thomson, a teen actress/songwriter/singer who has been recognized by her guest roles on a variety of top television shows such as CSI, House, and ER, has been a regular on HBO's Big Love since the fourth season.

In a recent interview with TheCelebrityCafe.com, Thomson discusses her experience in shifting from a guest star to a regular as Cara Lynn Walker on Big Love.

"Cara Lynn Walker came on as the cliffhanger at the end of season three as Nicki's long lost daughter," she explains, "And in season four she was new to the family… and was just in a period where she was getting used to living in this modern world."

This 'modern world' that Cassi Thomson mentions involves the show's theme of polygamy that initially came as quite a challenge to Thomson in preparing for her role as Cara.

"I definitely did a lot of research on it because it was something I really knew nothing about and something I think the world didn't really know anything about" Thomson states.

As Thomson expresses her thoughts with the fifth final season as "bittersweet" but "for the best", she also brings up her life as a singer and compares it with acting.

"You are still performing, either way. So as a singer you definitely have to put on a performance and make the audience feel. It's the same thing with acting."
Although Thomson's appearance on the show is coming to an end with the final season, she can be seen in a role in an upcoming Hallmark movie that is coming out in June and gives her Big Love fans a message.

"It's going to be a really great season. I think the fans are going to be really happy with it!"
