  • Jacksonville, FL (1888PressRelease) May 25, 2016 - North Florida Land Trust is hosting their 5th Annual Fish Fry at Big Talbot Island on Saturday, June 4. The family-friendly event will take place from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Talbot House on Big Talbot Island, 12134 Houston Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32226. Participants can enjoy marsh views, fabulous food, local beers, live music from Firewater Tent Revival and Cain't Never Could, lawn games in the backyard, and more.

    "This event is so much fun for absolutely everyone," said Jim McCarthy, Executive Director of North Florida Land Trust. "It is a great opportunity for everyone to spend some time out at Big Talbot Island, partake in a nature hike or kayak tour and learn more about why Big Talbot Island is such a special place. Last year we had a great turnout and this year we expect even more people to attend, so I suggest you get your tickets early."

    June 4 is also National Trails Day and we will celebrate with a free guided nature hike with NFLT's Resource Specialist at 2 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., there will be a guided kayak tour to explore the natural beauty of the island.     This Chick Can Cook is catering the event. Vegan and gluten free options will be available. Florida Creamery will also be on hand with some delicious ice cream.
