Even in army our dresses from Khaki to Olive Green, black turbans, medals, ribbons play important role to décor us and to express our achievements, valour and patriotism. I feel honoured to be connected with such creative students, and I even like to share some fashion projects to work on with them."Lt General JS Cheema was the Guest of Honour of the day.

Through this show LPU intends to provide practical training so that students are ready for the career in the world of fashion industry. The last round earned wide applaud from the onlookers as it presented Future Designer Students of the University, with the display of wears-the best of students' creations. To be eligible to be part of the show, all the designs had to be conceptualized, created and designed by students themselves. Third year students also presented their collections. Nine beautifully embroidered, weaved, stitched, knitted and brilliantly crafted design collections were named separately for different rounds. These were: Bird of Paradise, Aesthetic Sabotage, Encapsulation, Tangram, Immortal Expression, Art of Deception from final year students and three Dominance, Nature's Elixir and Primitive Dilettante were from third-year students as a token of respect to their outgoing seniors.

Use of fringes and feathers along with handloom fabrics proved its connectivity with nature. "AESTHETIC SABOTAGE" collection was inspired from the destructive forces of the creative energy and conveyed the dissent and rebellion in design usage. 'ENCAPSULATION' presented the fusion of architecture and fashion. Exaggerated architecture structures of Catholic Church and biblical scenes were the inspiration of this collection. 'TANGRAM' collection was based on a Chinese game, took the onlookers to playfulness of the game. 'IMMORTAL EXPRESSION' was inspired from a mythological bird- Phoenix that takes rebirth from its own ashes. The concept was showcased by creating fabric surfaces and textures with felt and silks.
