Strength and Condition Coach and Ex- Army Medic in Iraq and pro MMA fighter Wiber Mr Bigs Marrero is a firm believer in the HIRT Training methods. "The very first couple weeks Mr Bigs started us on the HIRT Training Program I noticed a big increase in both my strength levels and endurance during training", said Sierra Edward 2012 PanAm Blue Belt Absolute Division Champion.

"HIRT Training is a proprietary training program that exploits the anaerobic system to enhance sports specific performance. By using variable and progressive resistance, the athlete will be able to better utilize ATP from multiple fuel sources. The movements in the training mimic the actual sport activity so that the neuromuscular training is in sync with the athletes demands in the field" said Dr. Ronald DeMeo, founder of the HIRT program.

"The end result is a tremendous increase in athletic anaerobic endurance, sport specific power, increases in free testosterone, IGF, and metabolic rate", stated DeMeo.

"There is an old saying; you can't teach power. We disagree and prove on the mat", said Marrero.

In order to exploit the HIRT Training even further, we incorporate the patent pending Lock and Load. The Lock and Lock is a self locking suspension strap or sling that can be attached and fixed to any to any part of the body and become the point of resistance loading. The result is hands free training that allows the athlete the ability to free up their hands and feet while adding variable and progressive resistance to their training. Hence in the case of jujitsu training. The Lock and Load can be attached to the bicep to the fighter during pad work. The Lock and Load can be attached to a cable machine or elastic band to add unrestricted resistance to the movement. The largest Lock and Load is placed and fixed around the waist to allow core strengthening while performing crawl and take down techniques.

In the case of WMB Competition team, we performed HIRT conditioning training three days a week and technical training with the Lock and Loads 7 days a week.
