  • (1888PressRelease) April 12, 2012 - Car wrapping specialist Creative FX has transformed a black Noble M12 to promote the release of the new smartphone app, 'Squash my Car.'

Launched by Speeding Hippo, 'Squash my Car' is the brainchild of motor enthusiasts and lifelong friends Stephen Holmes and Chris Kessling. It allows users to transform a picture of any car into a squashed, pint-sized racer, in just a few simple steps. The app developed by creative design agency, Masters Allen is available on the iPhone and Android for just 69p.

Already the app has been gaining attention from all over the world. With multiple sharing functions, the manipulated photos can be easily uploaded to social networking sites and shared amongst friends and family. Now pictures of squashed cars are popping up all over Twitter and Facebook with users keen to share the results of Squash my Car.

Sean Davis, director at Creative FX, can see why the new app has captured the amusement and fascination of car owners and car fans alike. "It's great - you can take any car, be it a Ferrari, Mini, or even your camper van and turn it into a miniature toy version. When Stephen came to us wanting his car wrapped to help promote this quirky app, we were more than happy to get involved."

Creative FX designed mock-ups of the vinyl wrap, carefully following the slick curves of the Noble, using bright reds and oranges for the text and graphics to grab the attention of any passersby. Featuring a shrunken version of the Noble Sports car itself, the decal allows those who spot the car on the road to immediately see what the app can do, which is exactly what Squash my Car was looking for: "We don't believe in dry old fashioned advertising," Holmes explains. "Instead we get stuck in and that means going where car lovers go: shows, races and, best of all, auto events. And if you're going to go, then you may as well go in style - that's why we transformed the SquashMyCar Noble M12 into the perfect 'SquashMyCarMobile'."

"Encouraging people to take a second look at their car through photo manipulation is a brilliant idea," says Davis. "Cars are meant for having fun with and wrapping them is a real life way to transform the look of your car - so this is a very appropriate method of endorsing an app which also plays with how your car looks - albeit into a miniature toy version!"

"We're delighted with the excellent work carried out by Creative FX and can't wait to travel far and wide in it!" concludes Holmes.
