World's Longest Running Triathlon Kicks Off at Newport Dunes Oct 2

  • (1888PressRelease) September 27, 2016 - Attention seasoned triathletes, weekend warriors, ambitious beginners and even children…the world's longest running triathlon will be held at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort on Sunday, October 2 beginning at 7 a.m. The Newport Triathlon will feature sprint, super sprint and youth courses for those off all abilities and experience. All competitors are required to provide two signed waivers (USAT & Pacific Sports) in order to participate.

    Those at the Sprint level will swim .5 miles, cycle 15 miles and run 3 miles while the super sprint will include a .25 mile run, 7.5 mile bike ride and 1.5 mile run. Those registering will receive a commemorative T-shirt, goody bag, finisher's medal, ROKA swim cap and entrance to the post-event festival including food and entertainment.
