  • (1888PressRelease) October 30, 2015 - Amimon demonstrates the latest enhancements to the company's CONNEX solution at the Commercial UAV Show, taking place October 20-21, 2015 in London, UK. One highlight of the show will be two flying sessions demonstrating CONNEX. The first will be on October 20 at 1:00 pm with their partner Aeriatronics, and a second one is scheduled for October 21 at 11:00 am with Vulcan UAV.

"The Commercial UAV Show is Europe's largest civilian show focused on UAV's and related technologies, providing a unique venue for interacting with the very active UAV community in this region," said Ram Ofir, CEO, Amimon. "Capturing high quality images is a core requirement for commercial drone applications and Amimon's CONNEX solution has set the bar for HD performance, distance and affordability in aerial technology. By bringing zero latency into the mainstream, we are also helping to promote safer UAV flying."

The flying sessions will include demonstration of the company's industry-leading CONNEX wireless HD video technology and its advantages over standard definition or lower resolution images in the UAV market. Delivering full HD video quality with zero-latency transmission with a range of up to 1,000 meters (3,300 feet), the plug-and-fly CONNEX is ideal for broadcast, inspection, aerial photography, crowd control and other applications that require real-time control of both camera and drone.

A robust 5GHz radio with sophisticated 2x5 MIMO and automatic channel selection (AFS) allows CONNEX to ensure resilient connectivity at all times, free from interference from UAV controls and other 2.4GHz radio links. CONNEX's multicasting feature supports up to four screens simultaneously while maintaining excellent HD video. The CONNEX kit includes all antennas, cables and connectors required for air and ground unit setup.

The Commercial UAV Show will feature more than 100 international exhibitors and is expected to draw more than 3,000 attendees. More than 80 industry speakers are scheduled to present on a wide range of UAV topics, many of which involve exactly the kind of video applications supported by the Amimon CONNEX offering.
