Ross has previously served as the musical director for Streisand's two previous tours. Ross received a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction for the documentary Streisand: Live in Concert. Ross has described Streisand as "Gracious, though definitely a perfectionist. She will work until she gets what she wants." Their fruitful collaboration continues with this world-spanning tour. A prolific composer, William Ross recently scored this year's Lifetime highest-rated movie, Steel Magnolias, a contemporary version of the stage play and 1989 film. The film was produced by Neil Meron and Craig Zadan.
