William John Titus Bishop releases an album of heartfelt and stripped back piano ballads.
- (1888PressRelease) September 20, 2025 - Vintergatan: Solo Acoustic (outtakes, covers and rehearsals) is available now for streaming. The album is a collection of original songs and cover versions recorded in early spring in the remote Swedish town of Läckaby. A track from the album, “Nicotine,” was released at midnight. The album will be released in several configurations, including a 2-disc CD, a 2-LP gatefold vinyl and digital.
The album focuses on the political and cultural currents present in Europe over the past three years as well,as the more interpersonal aspects of human relationships. Of “Nicotine,” Ian McLellan A&R at Time Warner wrote, 'Powerful delivery of lyrics. Abstract but in a good way. The song’s lyrics were deep.’
Of “Second Time Around,” Belgian critic and author Nicole Mendes wrote, ‘tackling existential issues with a minimalistic approach, singer-songwriter William John Titus Bishop demonstrates how the simplest form of sound or expression can be more impactful than the loudest noise.
The 10-track Vintergatan: Solo Acoustic (outtakes, covers and rehearsals) is William John Titus Bishop’s first album of songs since “I Hope That You Are Keeping Some Kind of a Record” received 4 million streams in the fortnight after its release. His music is studied at Universities in the UK
