    AUSTIN, TX, May 9, 2017 - Whim Hospitality, a pioneer in the Texas event services industry announced the launch of a new event series, Whim Design Days with a two-day floral experience that will take place July 23-25 at Camp Lucy, their managed property in Dripping Springs, Texas. The event is for anyone that has ever dreamt of being a floral designer or just wants to tap into creative resources that they never knew they had.

    The idea for the event series came from CEO Kim Hanks after several conversations she had with friends and colleagues about the growing trend among people beyond their early 40's to explore opportunities outside their current jobs and industries in pursuit of creative outlets. "I kept hearing more and more about people's desire to do something creative with their lives, either as a career change or as a serious hobby and I saw an opportunity for Whim Hospitality to meet that need" said Hanks. "We decided to start with a floral experience because we have had a lot of demand lately for our floral department to share tips and tricks for DIY floral design and wanted to be able to go more in depth with a multi-day event like this one" said Hanks.

    During the two- day event Floral Manager Rachel Cox will teach attendees how to create and care for their own curated floral arrangements through a series of hands-on floral sessions. In addition to the design skills attendees will take away, they will also enjoy a relaxing stay at the Camp Lucy cottages and feel replenished with flower-inspired food and beverage prepared by Chef Rob McMahon. All skill levels are welcome to attend and guests will take home all of their creations.
