    On the eve of the closing of the 2021 motorcycle season, the AVTODOM Group of Companies has published the results of motorcycle sales of 8 months. The total revenue from the sale of motorcycles more than doubled compared to the same period last year and amounted to 2,075 billion rubles against 998 million rubles in the same period in 2020.

    The sales volume of new motorcycles of the AVTODOM Group of Companies for 8 months increased 2 times compared to last year and amounted to 1340 copies against 659 units. The positive dynamics is also observed in the segment of used motorcycles. Their number increased by almost 50% from 178 units in 2020 to 265 in 2021. At the same time, the average cost of a new motorcycle sold by AVTODOM Group of Companies increased slightly by only 4%. It amounted to 1,36 million rubles, against 1,3 million rubles a year earlier. At the same time, the average price of a used motorcycle increased to 970 thousand rubles.

Therefore, according to Avito Avto, at the beginning of the 2021-motorcycle season, in April of this year, residents of our country were interested in buying a new motorcycle 23% more intensively than in April 2020. In May, according to the analytical agency Avtostat, about 4 000 motorcycles were sold in 1 month in our country. This is 76% more than a year earlier. In the previous year, sales of new motorcycles grew by 25% compared to 2019.

    The steady growth in sales of motor vehicles is due to a combination of factors. Urbanization has led many customers to look at the motorcycle as an alternative to their personal car. Motorcycles are suitable for those who value their time and cannot afford to waste it in traffic jams. In addition, for those who do not want to sacrifice their personal space and use city transport. At the same time, a significant number of owners see the motorcycle as a means of self-expression. Price becomes a significant factor in favor of purchasing a new motorcycle.
