  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 14, 2013 - The American Board of Certified Haircolorist's mentoring program recently gained support from haircolor company superstar WELLA. Two dates in 2014 have already been locked down for the seminars. The first one to be held in Los Angeles, CA on February 9-10, followed by the second date in Washington, DC on July 27-28. More locations will be released later in 2014 and can be viewed at haircolorist.com.

Rueben Carrenza, CEO of WELLA states, "By partnering with the American Board of Certified Haircolorists we are assured that the students who complete this course and go on to become Board Certified will be able to provide a greater variety of haircolor services and please more clients." He went on to say, " It should be understood this is not a sales promotion for Wella, we would love you to use Wella products but you can use anyone's haircolor. We would invite other manufacturers to step up and follow our lead by supporting ABCH".

Wella Professionals has a strong heritage of outstanding leadership in the salon industry. For over 125 years, they have perfected the science and beauty of hair, working with scientists and colorists worldwide to drive innovation and inspiration for salon professionals. With extensive experience and a valued reputation worldwide, Wella Professionals redefines the standard in color and service.

The ABCH Mentoring Seminar is a two-day intensive hands-on workshop and provides personal training by members of the ABCH evaluation team. You will also receive an examination mannequin, ABCH Consultation swatch chart, and access to a online practice examination. Everything will be provided for the two days of the seminar including tools, gloves, aprons, combs, clips, mannequin stands, brushes and bowls.

The mentoring seminars will also include personal demonstration and instruction on all aspects of the ABCH certification examination, from the simple mixing of bleach to the more complex high-low lighting. Although hair color application is taught in school, bad habits and incorrect real world information can corrupt that education once in the salon. The ABCH certification promotes credibility and mastery of haircolor processes. As in all professions, the consumer will seek out those certified for their expert knowledge and service excellence.

The educational weekend is priced at a reasonable $225, but the knowledge you take away from the weekend is much more valuable. Haircolorists who are ABCH Board Certified are able to make more money because they are the ones who will always continue to seek a higher level of education and fight to be the best.

The American Board of Certified Haircolorists is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to elevating the level of professional hiarcoloring. The ABCH has certified hundreds of haircolorists throughout the United States.
