  • Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) January 28, 2012 - The Welcoming Transformation World Healing Ceremony, sponsored by the Spiritual Unity Movement (SUM), will be presented at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, 7 February 2012 at The Onion Historical Landmark, 9550 Haskell Ave. in North Hills (near the I-405 and Nordoff). SUM is an all-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and celebrating the truth that exists at the heart of all faith traditions. Historian, author and filmmaker, Dr. Jose Jaramillo, will be speaking on "The Road to 2012". Flute player for the wolves at Shadowland Foundation, Debra Delahunty, will provide the ceremonial music for this event.

Dr. Jose is a historian, author, and filmmaker. He is the author of "The Mayan Calendar: The Holistic Book of Knowledge" and co-author "The World Tree: Gathering for the Shift of 2012-2013". Scientifically examining Ice Age rhythms, calendar cycles, Sacred Geometry, Astronomy, Mythology and Cosmology, Dr. Jaramillo arrives at an enlightened conclusion about what we can expect during this significant year in time. With the obvious changes occurring with our Earth's climate, The World Tree explores the correlations between Ice Age cycles, climate change and the Mayan calendar, answering the question: is it a true predictor of what's to come and will 2012 bring a significant shift in the Earth's infinite existence?

Debra Delahunty was introduced to the Native American Flute in July of 2009 by her friend Peter Lovio whom she met at a Pow Wow in Moorpark, CA, and paved the way for her to be acquainted with the flute maker who told her this was her next Spiritual Journey. This opened the door for her to become a flute player for the wolves at Shadowland Foundation. Debra then started to play for meditations and other events and even became a flute teacher. She proceeded to record her first CD that helped benefit Shadowland Foundation. Debra even played her music behind narration for the Country Radio Station K-Hay 100.7 in Ventura County.

These monthly World Healing Meditation Ceremonies sponsored by the Spiritual Unity Movement (SUM) are held at or near the time of the full moon to be in harmony with ancient traditions honoring the sacred mother and natural rhythms of the universe. Each and every World Healing Ceremony includes an Honoring the World Religions Ceremony, world-renowned keynote speakers, live inspirational music, guided meditation, deep meditation, world blessing ritual and a 15 minute forum on the theme of the evening conducted by the key note speaker directly following the closing ritual.

There is a $10 suggested donation (or whatever is comfortable) for this event. Because Spiritual Unity Movement is an all-denominational organization, it accepts denominations of all sizes.
