  • Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) April 12, 2012 - Today, Waxing the City, a waxing studio devoted solely to the art of waxing, announced that it will be sponsoring the Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital's fundraiser, Mutts and Models for the eighth year.

    "Mutts and Models is an inspiring event and one that is dear to our hearts," stated Robin Schoh, CEO of Waxing the City. "Giving back to the communities we serve allows people to see us being responsible, creates trust and shows our passion for our cities."

    Through creative partnering, Waxing the City teams up with their salon clients and collects additional donations for the cause. Over the past seven years, this partnership has allowed Waxing the City to donate over $27,500 to the Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital. Waxing the City co-founders Summer Hartshorn and Alexandria Jimenez have graced the runway with their dogs during the event as well.

    The 11th Annual Mutts and Models will take place on Saturday, May 12 at the EXDO Event Center. This year's theme is South Pawcific. Guests will enjoy a unique fashion show featuring local celebrities and their dogs walking the runway. Tickets are available for purchase through the Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital.

    The Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital provides healthcare for pets of the disadvantaged population. Services are subsidized and would not exist without the support of the community. Mutts and Models raises funds through sponsorships, ticket sales and the evenings' live and silent auctions.
