  • Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) September 01, 2010 - WageWatch, Inc. has released survey results for hourly and salaried compensation rates for the Las Vegas gaming and hospitality industries. The compensation data is collected and reported on the WageWatch website year-round for the Las Vegas market participants. In the third-quarter of each year, the survey results are summarized in a report to the industry, which is now available in a PDF format on the website.

With budgeted pay increases of only 2.2% in 2009 and 2.0% in 2010 for casino/hotel employees in Las Vegas, the gaming industry remains cautious. The number of hourly employees eligible for pay increases in 2010 has improved. A separate analysis conducted by WageWatch disclosed 25% more hourly employees receiving wage increases over last year.

"Despite the ongoing economic challenges, it is vital for the gaming industry in Las Vegas to stay informed on compensation trends." says Randy Pullen, President and Chief Executive Officer of WageWatch. "The compensation survey provides the best tool for casino owners and human resource managers to obtain a clear picture of current pay rates in key gaming positions." Added Mary Leraaen, Senior Compensation Analyst, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.

The 2010 Las Vegas survey report includes data on 264 hospitality and gaming positions, collected from 51 casinos, 6 resorts, 14 hotels and 3 golf courses representing in excess of 80,000 employees. The data is further segmented by strip and off-strip locations. WageWatch also has an online compensation survey that provides expanded data sets for the gaming and hotel industries nationwide.
