Visual Communications Named 2013 Small Business of the Year

  • St. Cloud, MN (1888PressRelease) March 21, 2013 - Visual Communications is pleased to announce their recent designation as "2013 Small Business of the Year." The award comes from the Midway Chamber of Commerce, and was announced at their MCC Annual Celebration.

    The designation is meant to highlight local Midway businesses that exhibit outstanding business practices, including sustainability, productivity, and entrepreneurship. To qualify, the business must be classified as a small business, meaning they have 10 employees or less.

    Principal Cheryl Long O'Donnell said. "We're proud to have stood up against so many other great companies who donate their time and talents to the Midway Chamber of Commerce!" Other nominees included Bywater Business Solutions, Chocolat Celeste, Ted Davis Communications, and Myers Communication.

    "As we continue to reach out and help organizations across the country, it's great to know how appreciated we are here at home," stated Richard Lang, Principal of VCI. "Our team has been an active contributor to St. Paul and to the community for over 20 years". Constance Carlson, also Principal of VCI, added "We are working on the master plan signage for Como Park and have completed signage for numerous healthcare and educational facilities - including winning a national design award for our work at Saint Paul College. It is great to be recognized."

    The 2013 Annual Celebration, dubbed "A Night at the Depot," took place on February 23, 2013. The night featured food, music, and fundraising. Visual Communications team members were in attendance.

    The same night, Cheryl Long O'Donnell, was nominated for Volunteer of the Year. Although the award went to Senator John Hoffman, "It was an honor to be nominated", Cheryl Long O'Donnell said.
