  • Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2010 - Vistage Michigan today announced that three of its members have been honored by the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The YearŽ 2010 Awards for the Michigan and Northwest Ohio region. Margery Krevsky, owner and CEO of Productions Plus-The Talent Shop, was named a winner and Kevin Schnieders and Stephen Blocki were named finalists. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses.

    Vistage Michigan is a member-based organization whose mission is to increase the effectiveness and enhance the lives and businesses of chief executives of small to mid-sized companies. "We are so proud of Margery, Kevin and Stephen for this truly remarkable honor," said organization CEO and Chairman Robert Holland.     Margery Krevsky's Productions Plus-The Talent Shop is Michigan's largest full-service management agency. Since its founding in 1981 in Bingham Farms, Mich., the company has expanded to become one of the largest agencies in the country. Krevsky has recently leveraged the growth of the film industry in Michigan to further develop her extensive 15,000 plus database of talent for whom her company manages auditions and bookings in auto shows, live marketing, film, theatrical, industrials and commercial roles. She received the Soaring Eagle Award from Vistage Michigan in 2005. In 2009, Corp Magazine honored her with the Entrepreneur of Distinction Award.

    Kevin Schnieders is the CEO of the Dearborn, Mich.-based Educational Data Systems, Inc., a workforce development company that provides comprehensive business and jobseeker services. A Huntington Woods resident, Schnieders was amongst Crain's Detroit Business's 40 Under 40 in 2010; was the 2008 winner of Corp! Magazine's Entrepreneur of Distinction Award; and was the finalist from his Chief Executive group for the Soaring Eagle Award in 2007.

    Stephen Blocki is the vice president in the environmental and energy department at Durr Systems, Inc. in Plymouth, Mich. Durr Systems is one of the world's leading suppliers of products, systems and services, mainly for automobile manufacturing. He is also the director of the Detroit chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and is on the board of directors for the Institute of Clean Air Companies. Blocki is a resident of White Lake.

    The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program honors entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptionality in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. As a winner, Margery is now eligible for consideration in the national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 13, 2010. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
