  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2012 - VirtualEmployee.com, a PaaS (People As A Service) provider based in the National Capital Region (NCR), India, has been shortlisted for the coveted NASSCOM Emerge 50 Awards 2012 in the Start-Up category. To be spotlighted as a future IT company by the highest trade body of the nation is indeed a great achievement for this fairly young start-up.

"NASSCOM Emerge 50 Awards" programme annually identifies, showcases and supports Top 50 high-potential Emerging companies that are redefining the benchmarks of excellence for the IT industry. This year the "Top 50 Emerging Companies" and "Jury Choice - 10 Hottest start-ups in India" included VirtualEmployee.com. These awards are NASSCOM's (the premieer organisation for the Indian software industry) way of "recognizing emerging Indian companies across all business sectors. The initiative showcases companies who established new business models, built innovative products and services or clocked fastest growth rates."

Out of the three key categories of the Emerge Awards, VirtualEmployee.com has been selected in the Emerge Start-Up category (the other two being Emerge Innovation and Emerge Growth).

Such recognition by the premier software trade body of the country is a feather in the cap of any start-up company. Companies who made it to the selected list underwent a strict evaluation process. Basic criteria included revenue growth rates for last 3 years, revenue contribution, average revenue per employee etc. in order to make it to the preliminary shortlisting round of companies in each category.

The shortlisted companies were then objectively evaluated (through a mathematical model) on a number of parameters including financials, growth, market differentiator, customers, market visibility, and distribution/ GTM.

The evaluation on above parameters was used to come up with a net score for individual companies that ultimately determined whether or not they would be shortlisted in each category.

Its easy to understand why VirtualEmployee.com has been shortlisted. The biggest feature differentiator for VirtualEmployee.com is its unique PaaS model that integrates the increasingly popular Cloud technology with hiring dedicated talented Indian professionals and thus provides western clients with the ideal remote working arrangement. Since 2010, VirtualEmployee.com's revolutionary PaaS business model has successfully provided talented Indian resources to SMEs across 23 countries.

Having accurately assessed the need of SMEs across the USA and UK, VirtualEmployee.com was also the first to introduce innovations in the SME outsourcing/ offshoring industry by providing clients with their own dedicated, virtual employees who work exclusively for them. This was a revolutionary model that completely changed how SMEs would outsource in future. Added to this was the very real-time face-to-face access a client could enjoy with their virtual employee via video conference at any time. The uncertainties of repeatedly contracting with offshore freelancers or having to outsource work in the form of time-bound projects has become a thing of the past for SMEs, for whom VirtualEmployee.com is now the new 'local recruitment agency'. A Virtual Employee becomes as much a part of the client's local team (albeit a remote one) as a local, physically present employee. In short, SMEs can also now have an offshore office/ presence like the MNCs.

Will VirtualEmployee.com walk away with the honours? Watch this space!
