  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) December 21, 2010 - ImagineDesign, an award-winning, multi-disciplinary branding firm has announced the winner of their first annual "We Fight Ugly" donation competition. In response to the overwhelming number of entries favoring this particular charity, ImagineDesign has selected the Center for Alexandria's Children as the recipient of the 2010 contest.

Starting November 15, the public was invited to submit their favorite non-profit on ImagineDesign's Facebook page through a simple web form, along with a brief description of why the organization should receive the free web design. The requirements to qualify were simple: the charity must be a certied non-profit and have a live website that grossly underserved its purpose, providing the "ugly" from which the contest's name is derived. The budget of the web site to be donated is set at $5,000.

"We've seen an astounding number of entries," says Patrick King, Founder of ImagineDesign. "Picking one was excruciating because there are so many organizations out there that need help with getting their message out. As a result, we are going to hold this contest annually. It's a great way for our community and ourselves to give back to those who give all year long."
