Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA (1888PressRelease) December 11, 2020 - Bethlehem, PA – Jennifer Doncsecz (President, VIP Vacations, Inc.) was one of a handful of top travel advisors who were acknowledged with special awards as part of TravelAge West’s virtual WAVE (Western Agents’ Votes of Excellence) Awards, held December 3, 2020.

Doncsecz was one of four advisors to win the first-ever Globus Family of Brands Excellence in Leadership Award, which are designed to acknowledge the extraordinary dedication of travel advisors who worked tirelessly over the course of a difficult year. The winners were: Jennifer Doncsecz of VIP Vacations in Bethlehem, Penn.; Sara Butruff of Travel Leaders/Galaxy Travel in Apple Valley, Minn.; Joy Gawf-Crutchfield of The Joy of Travel in Oklahoma City; and Ines Turus of Cruises International in Schaumburg, Ill. The award was sponsored by the Globus Family of Brands.

Doncsecz was selected because of her outstanding work in developing and leading the Female Leaders in Travel Conclave. The annual Conclave began in 2019 and has flourished over the past year, with over 35 women (representing over $1 billion in sales) in attendance at the 2020 Conclave. The focus of the Female Leaders in Travel Conclave is to bring female travel agents from across the industry together to foster bonds of friendship, provide an opportunity to learn from each other, and help each other rise in the industry.

The annual WAVE Awards celebrate top travel companies, individuals and destinations with awards decided by the readers of TravelAge West. More than 2,500 travel professionals throughout 15 Western states and readers of TravelAge West voted on the best of the best from a list of Editor’s Pick award recipients that were chosen after careful review by the editorial team at TravelAge West. Review methods included product analysis, on-site visits, a survey of a select group of travel advisors and online research.
