"When I set about writing 'A Portal in Time,' I didn't aim for a specific genre," Ms. Fullerton says. She penned a weekly column for the Malibu Surfside News from 2009-2010 and her work appears in two of the wildly successful Chicken Soup for the Soul books, most recently in Just Us Girls.
