  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) January 16, 2015 - Homebuyers continue to purchase new homes across the Villages of Irvine at a pace unmatched in the Western United States. For the third consecutive year, the Villages of Irvine - built by the Irvine Company's Community Development Company - was named the Top-Selling Master Planned Community in the Western United States by the Robert Charles Lesser and Company in their 2014 report.

"Homebuyers continue to make the Villages of Irvine the Top-Selling Master Planned Community in the West because they appreciate the unparalleled quality of life enjoyed from decades of thoughtful planning," said Tom Veal, Vice President of Residential Sales and Marketing for Irvine Company Community Development.

The large volume of new home sales - 1,431 - in 2014 across the Villages of Irvine eclipsed last year's total of 1,416, and marked the highest number in the Western United States, according to The Top-Selling Master Planned Communities Report, recently released by Robert Charles Lesser and Company (RCLCO).

"Our research shows that the Villages of Irvine continue to offer buyers a quality housing product and lifestyle they want to invest in," said Taylor Mammen, Community and Resort Advisory Group Principal for the Los Angeles office of RCLCO.

"Irvine Ranch ranks number two in our Mid-Year Update and first among communities in the West, and the community's success is a testament to the quality residential development delivering a diverse range of housing products and amenities that buyers are seeking in Southern California."

The recently-opened 3.5-mile, 76-acre Jeffrey Open Space Trail is easily accessible to Villages of Irvine residents, linking them to more than 16,000 acres of permanently protected parkland and open space, and connects to the 22-mile Mountains to Sea trail, the backbone of the 50,000 acres of permanently preserved land across the Irvine Ranch.

Envisioned to become the city's second uninterrupted Mountains to Sea trail, travelling from preserved open spaces north of the city south all of the way to Crystal Cove State Park.
