    Mitchell Zbik, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations for Group Ten Builders in Burlington Township, has been elected president of the Builders League for 2011. Serving with him on the association's Executive Committee are Jason Schaeffer, President of Tim Schaeffer Communities in Berlin, as vice president; Charles Kojeski of Kojeski Construction Company in Voorhees as secretary; Jerry Silvi of First Colonial National Bank in Collingswood as treasurer, Peter Haran of Joseph's Landscaping and Irrigation in Williamstown as Vice President of State Affairs; Jen Sauder, president of Thesing Power Sweeping in Deptford, as vice president of Associate Affairs, and Robert Cain of Mark Systems in Mount Holly as Second Vice President of Associate Affairs.

    The Builders League's officers and Board of Directors were sworn in at a ceremony at the annual Installation and Holiday Dinner at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees Dec. 15.

    Zbik, a resident of Ventnor, has been an active member of the Builders League since 1998, serving the association on numerous committees before moving into his executive leadership role. He is a graduate of Philadelphia University and has had a lengthy career in accounting, financial and corporate management.

    He joined Group Ten Builders in 1996 and expanded his experience and hand-on knowledge to cover every aspect of managing a homebuilding company. From land acquisition, contract management and negotiating to recruiting and training staff and instituting quality programs for improved efficiency and profitability, he has been actively involved in day-to-day operations. Zbik continued to apply his financial management skills and business acumen to position Group Ten Builders, an independent company, among the industry's leaders in southern New Jersey in the last decade.

    Throughout 2011, Zbik will focus on expanding the League's membership development and services. The League currently has one of the highest membership retention rates (82 percent) of any home builders association in the country.
