  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2011 - Universum received the prize for Innovative Research at the World Diversity Leadership Summit Europe 2011, which took place on March 24th at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

For the first time WDLS-EU 2011 staged the European Diversity Leadership Honours, a European Prize which awarded eight companies in four categories: Creative Leadership, Multicultural Working Environment, Innovative Research Findings and Work-Life-Flexibility.

Universum received the award for Innovative Research Findings for its unparalleled research of top talents' career expectations and insights on how to approach diversity and inclusion.

WDLS-EU brought together high-profile international and national Diversity and Inclusion experts - CEOs of the world's leading corporations, policy and decision-makers, corporate practitioners, academics, media - who shared their insights, strategies, best and worst practices and research findings on how today's businesses and marketplaces can benefit from Diversity and Inclusion and stay competitive on a global level. The patron of the conference was the Austrian Federal Minister of European and International Affairs Mr. Michael Spindelegger.

"Promoting diversity and inclusion for WDLS-EU also means showcasing and recognising best practices and trendsetting initiatives being implemented by companies and organisations with the EDL-Honours", said Beatrice Achaleke, organiser and conference manager of WDLS-EU.

Universum's global marketing director, Cecilia Dahlström, said she was very pleased to receive the award on Universum's behalf and thanked the panel of judges. "Universum will continue to deliver great research and we will always be strong advocates of diversity and its benefits. We are also pioneering personality targeting - the process of identifying individuals with a variety of physical, mental, emotional, and social characteristics - as a new and important component of diversity", she said.
