  • (1888PressRelease) November 05, 2010 - UK Visual Kei/Steampunk/Symphonic four-piece Machina Shogunate have re-launched themselves as a musical outfit with two new songs being published to their official Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/machinashogunate) and with an official website (http://www.machinashogunate.com).

The band is set to follow up the re-launch with the release of their debut EP in the coming weeks, the exact date of which is still TBC by the band.

Machina Shogunate are a 4 piece band from the United Kingdom with influences which range from Dark Glam to Steampunk and Visual Kei to Gothic.

The DIY work-ethic which runs through the core of this band is a key indicator of it's drive to succeed and develop as a group. Self written, self recorded, self produced, self published, self promoted and self managed.

The drive behind the band does not stop simply at the lengths which it works to build it's own future, the project itself was painstakingly put together over the space of 3 years, with many musicians having applied from across the United Kingdom but with few being accepted and truly sharing the passion, work ethic, imagination and industrious nature to add to the project.

In the wake of the aesthetic movement kick-started by artists such as Lady Gaga, Machina Shogunate bring a unique take on fashion and visual expression in a rock-band format, boasting elaborate visual costumes and make-up as a side-order to verbose orchestral rock music. In one moment heavy, in another elegant and beautiful the band never strays far from melody and boasts complex compositions beyond their musical experience and fledging band-lifespan.

Combining vocalist V-Zhon's art-work and life affirming lyrical poetry with the verbose, dark and truly unique musical texture adopted by the band, Machina Shogunate not only stand as individuals and pioneers to their art but also as potential trend-setters.

Having been asked to put on a panel and signing event ahead of the bands first live shows having yet to make a physical music release speaks bounds about the contagious appeal the band is fast endearing for itself. The group's unique, dedicated and ever-growing following continue to support the band not only in its native United Kingdom but also across Europe and as far as the United States and Japan.

One thing to be guaranteed is that this distinctive band offers a sound which is certain to be different to anything you have heard before.
