Two SGS Furniture Testing Labs Approved by SEFA
SEFA approves two SGS furniture testing laboratories in Anji and Shanghai, China.
- (1888PressRelease) March 08, 2018 - Opening a new chapter in their relationship and for the laboratory furniture testing sector, SGS and the Scientific Equipment & Furniture Association (SEFA) have signed a partnership agreement
SGS is also an established Deputy Agency of SEFA, able to accept applications for membership of the Association. The company has Chinas only SEFA approved testing labs in Shanghai and Anji conducts product testing and prepares reports for submission by clients.
The two SGS laboratories that are approved by the SEFA conduct testing against all SEFA Standards. Lab furniture must meet different needs during different experiments. The SEFA standards aim to ensure that furniture fitted to labs (commercial and educational) fulfills its purpose and enables experiments to be conducted safely, and they include:

In addition, SGS can conduct testing against ASHRAE 110 for fume hood testing, another important standard for laboratory products.

In addition, it needs to be ergonomic and comfortable, functional and durable as well as corrosion resistant.
