    Saturday, May 12, 10:30AM-12:30PM - Humorous Memoir: Learn about humorous memoir writing from a comedian who focused on turning life experiences into comedic stories during her MFA studies. Paul Pazderka is the Artistic Director of DSI Comedy Theater in Carrboro. She formerly studied in Chicago at ImprovOlympic and she holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the Art Institute of Chicago. Paula has conducted interactive improv workshops for professional growth for years; most recently she has worked with Motorola, Duke University, Durham County Health Department, the Chapel Hill Carrboro Chamber, SUN (Southern University Newspapers) Conference and Leadership Triangle. $35.00

    Saturday, May 19, 10:30AM-12:30PM - Aromas and Creativity: This one-of-a-kind workshop uses aromas instead of words or objects as creative writing prompts. A certified aromatherapist has selected specific essential oils shown to increase creativity. $25.00 workshop fee also includes a gift bag of products and a "writer's potion" to take home.

    All Saturday writing workshops take place at Nature's Pure Essentials (in the Five Points Area next to Lily's Pizza), 1809B Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC.
