Torqeedo Motors Appear In The Gadget Show
Torqeedo electric outboard motors are being featured in two episodes of the Gadget Show in the coming weeks.
- (1888PressRelease) August 09, 2010 - On Monday 9th August on channel five at 8:00pm you will see Torqeedo Ultralight in the Wild Scotland challenge. In it you will see Suzi and Ortis up against each other on powered kayaks as part of the challenge. Watch out for Suzi on the kayak powered by a Torqeedo Ultralight motor whilst Ortis is on one powered by a Minn Kota motor.

The motor includes a GPS receiver providing data for a multifunctional display that is included in the remote throttle.
Information displayed includes battery charge status, remaining range, speed over ground and power consumption. The motor delivers a max speed of some 9.0 km/h and a range of some 20 km at slow speed.
In a future episode later in August you will see Ortis building a solar powered boat. The boat is powered by the Torqeedo Cruise 4.0 R.
