His family is from downtown Brooklyn and Fort Greene projects, but Tony also lived in the East New York, Bedford-Stuyvesant, and Flatbush areas of Brooklyn.

    Tony, a Hip-Hop Artist from the age of ten, developed most of his musical styling and music appreciation from family and friends in his neighborhood of Downtown Brooklyn. His musical influence can most be heard in the music of other New York artists such as Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, Kool G. Rap, and Rakim.

    Tony Spades is the Co-CEO of FreedomBorn Records with his partner Dub P. Adychshun. FreedomBorn Records was started in Philadelphia, PA in October 1999. Tony and Adychshun formed the record label while attending the University of Pennsylvania. Tony is also one of the founding members of the group F.A.M.
