  • Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) April 06, 2011 - With 37 years of field experience, Ms. Finkle has worked as the chief of the TROTSAR Mounted Search and Rescue Team for 11 years. During her career, she has developed an expertise in incident management. In her current position, she is responsible for acting as a liaison to Region III of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which includes Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. She also manages missing-persons cases and tracks deployment, as well as monitors employees' training hours. Previously, she served as a volunteer for National Capital React, where she worked on the missing Lyons sisters' case.

    In 2002, Ms. Finkle earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the College of Southern MD. Accredited by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, she holds certifications in emergency management and FEMA incident command system instruction. Additionally, she is federally certified in SARTECH-II by NASAR. Ms. Finkle serves as the undersecretary of the Science and Technology Directorate of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In her spare time, she is a volunteer for ASTM International. In the future, Ms. Finkle intends to establish an independent search and rescue team training center.
