  • (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2011 - Austin, Texas, was the recent host and venue to South by Southwest Interactive Conference and Festival, produced since 1987 by SXSW Inc., a private company based in Austin. "It is celebrated around the world as one of the great institutions of independent music, film and interactive media, drawing record labels, bloggers, booking agents, filmmakers, radio programmers and anyone else in search of the next cool thing."

And that was exactly what the 2,500 audience inside one of the ballrooms of the Austin Convention Center, sat down for and listened to - the next cool thing in the person of Tim Ferris, the 4-Hour Guru. On Day One of the annual South by Southwest Interactive Conference, Tim Ferris, a self-described "lifestyle designer" and "meticulous data cruncher" talked about his new manifesto, "The 4 Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat Loss and Becoming Superhuman, in between sessions about social gaming and NASA's use of Twitter .

One of the core concepts of the healthy weight loss program that Tim advocates, is the intake of PAGG supplements, taken 6 days a week, with one rest day from the stack. In his book, which is among the #1 bestsellers list of the New York Times, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal, among others, Tim emphasizes the importance of taking the PAGG supplements the right way:

    1. Take PAGG 6 days a week, one day rest day from the stack.
    a. AGG - Taken before meals (Alpha Lipoic Acid, aged Garlic Extract, Green Tea Flavanol)
    b. PAG - Taken before bed (Policosanol, Alpha Lipoic Acid, aged Garlic Extract)
    2. There is a bingeing day wherein they can eat anything for a day
    3. Should have slow carb meals

Tim informed his readers that Green Tea Flavanol should not be taken on PAGG bedtime as its caffeine content causes insomnia. On Twitter, he corrected this typo error in his 4 Hour Body by emphasizing that Green Tea Flavanol SHOULD NOT be taken before bedtime.

Studies show that 300mg of decaffeinated Green Tea Flavanol is equivalent to 5 cups of coffee - Tim knows this which is why he is strict about his DO NOT TAKE AT BEDTIME rule when on pAGG supplements.

Not all PAGG supplements out there, especially the bedtime stack, adheres to this Tim Ferris recommendation. One brand that does is the PAGG stack from Tiger Health Products, since it does not have Green Tea Flavanol in its PAGG bedtime stack. Tiger Health is the only supplier of pAGG supplements sans the Green Tea Flavanol for bedtime. This is the Tiger Health difference that acknowledged Tim's recent tweet.

Attendees of the South by Southwest conference who were in that auditorium with Tim Ferris speak were truly lucky to hear the next cool thing in lifestyle design and natural weight loss.
