  • (1888PressRelease) November 20, 2012 - Local entrepreneur John Pearson is proving good things come in three, this month winning his third consecutive award for outstanding business results.

Recognised for providing exceptional training and employment solutions and successfully delivering Indigenous services, Mr Pearson said the award winning hat trick is an overwhelming accomplishment.

''When I was announced as Owner Manager of the Year (in the Australian Institute of Management Awards) for the Coast I was so surprised; and then to be awarded this same title for the state was such a huge honour,'' he says.

But Mr Pearson barely had time to celebrate with his team, earning his third accolade at the Sunshine Coast Business Awards last Saturday night.

''Winning Outstanding Business Person of the Year was just as unexpected and to be recognised three times within a month is a huge privilege and I still can't believe it,'' he adds.

It appears three is his lucky number, with three companies to his name including John Pearson Consulting, Look Now Training and Employment and Indigenous Workstars, which all deliver workforce and enterprise development and training and employment solutions.

The businesses are particularly focused on empowering Indigenous Australians with training and employment opportunities.

''I'm passionate about helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and businesses succeed and knowing we're raising awareness in this area is by far the most rewarding part of this process.

''For our team to be recognised for our contribution in this area makes all of our long hours and hard work worthwhile,'' he says.

Mr Pearson acknowledges the awards are a team effort and is quick to attribute the success of all three companies to his staff and their commitment.

The team's rapid growth has forced a move to a new office in a larger location at Lake Kawana where they will get the chance to celebrate before the Christmas holidays.

''After all of our hard work, the craziness of moving and the excitement of the awards, our team can finally relax and will probably celebrate three times as hard,'' Mr Pearson adds laughing.
