  • San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) October 27, 2012 - Thermo Fisher Scientific is pleased to announce two methods that determine carbohydrate intestinal permeability probes and naturally occurring carbohydrates in urine with excellent precision and recoveries, one method completing the analysis in just 16 minutes. Neither method requires derivatization, thereby reducing both analysis time and reagent costs. Application Note 1006: Determination of Carbohydrates in Urine by HPAE-PAD demonstrates use of a Reagent-Free™ ion chromatography (RFIC™) system that requires only a source of degassed deionized water for eluent generation, thus freeing the analyst from the tedious and error-prone chore of eluent preparation.
