  • Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) April 10, 2012 - The Woodshed Gallery is presenting the work of thirteen outstanding watercolor painters artists known as "The Watercolor Connection." The group exhibition continues through April 28, 2012.

    A public reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, April 14, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

    The Watercolor Connection is a group of watercolor painters who have studied together and chose to form a painting and critique group. Although the WC is currently based in Natick, individuals are from towns all over Boston's Metrowest area. The fourteen artists present a wide variety of styles and approaches to their painting and collectively have won numerous awards.

    Firmly bonded by friendship, mutual respect and a sincere desire to encourage and support each other, the group is becoming an artistic force in the Metrowest area. Individuals are members of the New England Watercolor Society, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society (including several signature members of the RIWS), as well as local art associations or museums in Attleboro, Duxbury, Hopkinton, Hudson, Framingham, Concord, Needham and Wellesley.

    The exhibiting artists are Yale Nicolls, Amy Moran, Ann Cooper Stroobant, Betsy Chalmers, Cindy Fenichel, Elizabeth Magilligan, Evelyn Bernal, Judi VonDohlen, Marty Nickerson, Linda Porreca, Mary Erickson, Randa Khuri, and Susan Rustad Smith.

    This exhibition is part of a Woodshed Gallery program designed to help artists take control of their presentations and advance their careers.

    The Woodshed Gallery was founded by professional artist Angelina Wood in 1968, and continues to be a family-run business. They specialize in conservation picture framing and the exhibition of original fine art, and art classes for adults and children. The Woodshed Gallery also shows a selection of hand-crafted jewelry and gift items.

    The Woodshed Gallery is located at 1243 Pond Street, Franklin, MA, near the Medway border. Gallery hours are Tuesdays thru Fridays, 10AM-5PM, Saturdays 10AM-3PM.
