  • Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) September 01, 2011 - Tampa Bay long-form improv comedy group The Third Thought will perform Thursday nights in September and October. The Third Thought brings something new to Tampa Bay - long-form improv. While the region hosts several short-form improv groups, The Third Thought is Tampa's only exclusively long-form improv group.

Rather than depending on multiple audience suggestions and scenes with gimmicks as in short-form, long-form improv takes a single audience suggestion then will develop themes based off of that suggestion, and will improvise multiple scenes back to back, exploring characters, ideas and relationships. The final product resembles something closer to a play, rather than the style of improv popularized on short-form television show Who's Line is it Anyways?

The Third Thought will perform every Thursday night in September and October at 8:00 p.m. at Coconut's Comedy Club at Jack's Joint (2950 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd, Clearwater). Tickets are $5, and are available for purchase at the door.
