The Resolutions Firm Joins Forces With Local Businesses To Raise Money For Operation Smile.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2010 - The Resolutions Firm has joined forces with local firms to raise money to sponsor a mission for Operation Smile. The firm will be raising money, volunteering and supporting the cause.
Operation Smile was founded in 1982 and, through the help of dedicated medical volunteers, has provided free surgeries to children around the world with a 45 minute surgery can change a child's life. With their presence in over 50 countries, the organization has been able to heal children's smiles and bring hope for a better future.
More than 200,000 children are born with a severe cleft condition each year - often unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile. In some places these children are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can't afford to give them the surgeries they need to live a normal life.
The Resolutions Firm's President, Sara Stafford, became aware of Operation Smile by a collegue who had the opportunity to travel with one of the organizations missions. Her experience was so impactful to the company that the firm has decided to join local businesses and aid in sponsoring a mission. With their contribution, The Resolutions Firm hopes to help change the lives of several children and aid in a mission that can save hundreds. The goal is raise over $2000 by 2011.
The Resolutions Firm is constantly getting involved in the community to make a difference. The company has also volunteered and raised money for several other organizations including raising over $1000 in the San Diego Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. Members of the company have also contributed with Habitat for Humanity to build homes in Miami, ran in triathlons to raise money for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the Alzheimer's Association and Autism speaks. Last year, the company volunteered with the Therapeutic Foundation of San Diego.
