  • (1888PressRelease) November 01, 2013 - ►Marble label boss and Parisian producer Surkin has been making music for a living for half a decade. Though young, Surkin has made tremendous headway in the international electronic scene, establishing himself with releases on Boysnoize Records, Turbo Recordings, Sound Pellegrino and remixing acts for the likes of Justice, M.I.A., Kavinsky and many more. Recent works include Kenzo's "Tiger Fever" music campaign and a collaboration with M.I.A. on her next album. Known for his eclectic mixes that break and blur the boundaries of dance music, SURKIN style has now developed into a unique and distinctive sound.

► Canblaster other than a very talented producer and remixer, is an extremely skilled DJ. His unequivocal sound showcases straight house and techno, mixing harmonic and rhythmic paradoxes, also recalling the best elements of his passion for videogames, classic French house, jazz and old school rave. His latest EP 'Infinite', just been released on Surkin label
Marble Records, is an absolute masterpiece. Expect a very intense DJ set at The Playground!

► Birmingham much talked-about Cause & Affect UK have already made their mark in UK and abroad with their unique bass-driven sound. They've been releasing on labels such as Dirtybird and Bullet Train Records, instantly gaining supporters like Justin Martin, Shadow Child, Eats Everything, Annie Mac.

► DE$iGNATED have made a solid impact in their first year of being, with the support of Applebottom, Kastle and Karma Kid amongst others. The very young duo from London/Guildford show their influences in grime, garage, UK hip-hop and dubstep driving their sound into fresh remixes and upbeat house. Releases have come or are to come on labels including Juno, Shifting Peaks, EMI and Atlantic as well as Grizzly, and will surely help propel this exciting duo to the next level entirely. Be ready for something BIG!

► Daktyl is one of those producers whose name couldn't be anymore suited in describing the ability behind his productions. With releases on White Colours, he gained massive support throughout 2012 and has also been invited to play at Stealth in Nottingham and all over the UK supporting acts like Artful Dodger, Lunice, Baauer and closing The Bloody Beetroots in the main room at Koko in March. With releases on GROUND Records and more to come soon, he's definitely one of those prolific British artists to keep an eye on.

► Singer, songwriter, producer and DJ, QUEENIE is one of London's music gems. Classically trained with piano, violin and singing lessons, Queenie got also into house and UK garage at a very young age. With her music background and diverse range of influence, she's now one out of the mass, with a string of unique productions bridging the gap between bass, house and garage music. Vaunting the support from the lkes of DJ Q, Annie Mac, Scratcha DVA and Redlight, Queenie is making her way into contemporary music scene and she's doing it well!

MEGAEMOTION's debut track Brains has already created quite a stir, scooping singles of the week in both The 405 and The Music Fix, alongside airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music (Steve Lamacq) and BBC Introducing.

"Brains starts like Blondie and soon becomes something different. Part Pixies noise-fest, part 80s synth sunset. I fucking love this song. It makes me want to rip out my shitty broken spine and flop around on a dance floor having fun." The 405 (single of the week)
