The upcoming Women On Board workshops will include a panel of local appointed officials and will encourage women to seek appointed positions in the municipal, county and statewide government levels. Additionally, each workshop will equip women with the necessary tools and skills to pursue public service opportunities and will explore strategies for securing appointed positions. The workshops will take place on Thursday, May 17 at the YWCA in Asheville, N.C., and Saturday, June 23 at the Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks 2 Piedmont in Greensboro, N.C.
