  • Austin-San Marcos, TX (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2010 - It has been a busy year for The MOD Studio (www.TheMODStudio.com), which recently moved into new office space at 1201 West 24th Street because of recent growth and staff hiring. Two weeks ago the design firm learned it leaped up seven spots to #16 on the Austin Business Journal's annual rankings of graphic and web design firms.

Now, The MOD Studio's bragging rights have grown yet again on the news of it having won seven American Graphic Design awards from Graphic Design USA, a news magazine for creative professionals. The American Graphic Design Awards are held annually and recognize the design profession's best and brightest works over the year. From among 8,000 entries, only around 15% receive the coveted award.

For Maria Orozova, President and founder of The MOD Studio, the past year has been nothing short of remarkable. Her firm, which has prospered even as other design firms in Austin have struggled, is experiencing its best year since its founding in 2007. "We have been fortunate to see requests for design projects continue to come from small and large companies alike," she says. "Our design team has done a fantastic job capturing our clients' branding needs in ways that both engage and surprise them."

With such marquee clients as AT&T, Rainmaker Systems and UT, The MOD Studio has been turning out design after design at break-neck speed. "We pride ourselves on a rapid turnaround for customers even as we fulfill their branding and customer-communication goals," Orozova says. "Because we operate so nimbly, we're able to produce a great product with far fewer resources for our customers."

If the number of awards is any indication, The MOD Studio's growth curve still promises to increase sharply in 2011. "We recently added a design intern to help us with the workload," notes Orozova. "As long as we keep our eyes on our clients' graphic and web design needs, we feel optimistic about our future prospects."
