  • Jacksonville, FL (1888PressRelease) May 01, 2013 - The Loop Pizza Grill is painting the way for art students at Fernandina Beach High School by hand-painting the restaurant's old wooden chairs with creative themes and selling the new work-of-art chairs. All the money raised will go directly to the school's art department.

Sandy Gay, Owner of The Loop Pizza Grill at Amelia Island, and other local artists are hand-painting the chairs. Special themes and color combinations will be part of the creative design.

"We are currently renovating our store and wanted to donate the chairs to benefit the school. By painting the used chairs, we are giving them a second life that brings an innovative twist to the donation," said Gay. "The Loop is excited to raise funds for the community and our local school. The money raised may even educate the next Picasso!"

Fernandina Beach High School art teacher Sharon Elle is extremely grateful for the donation.

"We are thrilled The Loop is helping us out with this unique donation," said Elle. "The extra funds will allow us to build our program and benefit the students' learning."

The painted chairs cost $40 each and are available for pre-order for people who want custom themes or colors. To pre-order, call The Loop at Amelia Island: 904-321-0093. About 30 hand-painted chairs will also be available at the Shrimp Festival taking place in Fernandina Beach from May 3-5.
