  • (1888PressRelease) December 21, 2017 - The troupe ended their successful year with a message of love, kindness and compassion. Ms. Joanie Sigal, the producer, said, “No matter what holiday you celebrate tonight – Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, or if you have no religious affiliation at all – this time of year evokes the messages of peace, love, joy and hope for the future and goodwill towards mankind are simply universal.”

When Shadows Fall, written in 1948, is a cautionary tale about Earth 600 years from now when it has been gutted, deforested and over-polluted and needs help to survive. The few on the abandoned planet desperately struggle to make one final plea to its colonies in outer space as their only hope. The story shows how love, kindness and honor can change things - no matter how bleak.

The show began with classic songs by Ms. Sigal. The dramatic reading was done by Sir Rudi Loehwing, Winston McDaniel, Josh Greenberg, Kathy Sweigart, Joanie Sigal and Brian Ward.

“It seems only fitting to end off the year with a story that demonstrates the importance of protecting Earth and showing love and kindness to one another,” said Amber Skjelset, Manager of the Center and event organizer.

The L. Ron Hubbard East Coast Theater will be doing bi-monthly performances at the Scientology Information Center in 2018. For more details on these or other community events at the Center please contact Amber Skjelset at (727) 467-6966 or amber ( @ ) cos dot flag dot org dot
