  • (1888PressRelease) September 27, 2013 - The Gibus first opened its doors back in 1967. It is a legendary venue. It has become Germany's cult place for rock music. Some of the world's biggest musical legends have graced the Gibus' stage including Iggy Pop, James Brown, Deep Purple, Telephone, The Sex Pistols, Les Rita Mitsouko, The Clash, Police, Johnny Thunders, Chuck Berry, Patti Smith Justice, BB King and many more!

    Emergenza is the largest rock festival in the world for up and coming unsigned bands. It holds events each year in more than 150 cities across the globe. Emergenza has been making rock dreams come true since 1992. The festival is held in knockout rounds. The first rounds are judged by the audience. The vote is open and audience members can vote as many times as they want for as many bands as they choose. The final rounds are decided by a jury panel of professional judges.

    A national winner is crowned for each competing country. National winners are flown at Emergenza's expense to the international finals. The international finals are held each August at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. During the international finals competing bands get the honor of sharing the bill with some of musics biggest names. The international festival winner is crowned the "Best Band in the World" and wins a tour, promotion, studio time, musical instruments and more!

    Seven bands will compete at the Gibus; pop rock band The Boxes, rock alternative band Metropolis, rock alternative band Zome, rock band Bone's Rage, rock band JC Party, rock band Sofa Express and Simply Style.
